Silberra COLOR 160 now also comes in 120 film! At the moment it's hand-rolled, with refurbished backing paper, but thoroughly packed into foiled sachets with special stickers to fix the tail as soon as you coped with shooting the film, and with a nice cardboard box. They hope to have it factory made soon along with long-expected B&W film in 120 film.
Warm colors, high resolution, nice grain: all the things you loved are wider, longer, and waiting for your frames.
This time the film was coated especially for us and you may enjoy it for a long period: we suppose to have it in stock permanently.
With nominal ISO 160 you may shoot Silberra COLOR 160 at EI80 or EI320 with a pull or push processing C-41 scheme.
They use recycled backing paper to pack this film. Please note that you'll be able to find any backing paper inside, from any brand name: that's just backing paper.
Silberra Color 160 film has a slightly different taste for everyone. Some photographers say that it reminds them of Kodachrome colors, some would say that there are tints of another film. Actually, the film will certainly show you that it is different from anything you've seen, right from the first look upon the emulsion.
High resolution and realistic render of colors are the special features of that film. While lower ISO will give you a bit more tender colors, higher ISO will bring a shift to magenta tint and more harsh colors, which may either become the feature for your shot or may easily vanish in the color correction stage (whether you'll do it with an enlarger or with scans - it doesn't matter a lot).
