The Minolta Pocket Autopak 470 is a pocket camera for 110 film, made in Japan.
This was Minolta's top-of-the-line pocket camera, only the Minolta 110 Zoom SLR was positioned above this one. For a small and pocketable 110 camera, the 470 offered a lot. The lens is a 4-element 26mm f/3.5 Rokkor of the Tessar type and exposure is controlled by a CdS cell with speeds ranging from 2 sec. to 1/1000 sec.
Besides the electronically controlled exposure, it has 4 focus zones and an additional close-up lens that slides in front of the lens when needed.
The viewfinder lets the user see which focus zone is selected and if the close-up lens is activated. A red LED warns for underexposure, making the use of the add-on flash unit necessary. Power for the camera is provided by 2x LR44 (or equivalent) batteries, these can be tested by pushing the little red button at the side of the camera. The flash unit takes a 1a AA battery.
A sliding cover protects the lens and powers the camera off.
